Pendjari National Park in the north had over 800 elephants counted between 2005 and 2010, and it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Royal Palaces of Abomey, a UNESCO site from 1985, have bas-reliefs made from earth and palm oil that show royal stories.
